How to choose
- If you close few deals from a source, pay-at-closing costs less. If you close many, a flat subscription usually costs less than giving up a share of every commission.
- Ask how many other agents get the same client. Shared referrals reward whoever calls back first.
- Check that the program actually operates in your county before you pay.
Questions agents ask
- Which referral networks don't charge by ZIP code?
- Pay-at-closing programs (HomeLight, ReferralExchange, Agent Fixup, Newzip, and others) charge a share of your commission when a deal closes instead. GiveReferrals charges a flat monthly subscription. Agentora is one flat monthly plan for your whole county.
- Which ones share a client with other agents?
- HomeLight sends each referral to 2 agents for a buyer and 3 for a seller. ReferralExchange matches each client with up to three agents. Agent Fixup refers 2 or 3 agents to each client. Realtor.com Concierge alerts several agents and the first to claim gets the transfer.
- Which is cheapest for a Georgia agent?
- It depends on how many deals you close from it. Pay-at-closing programs cost nothing upfront but take a share of your commission on each deal, up to 40% depending on the program and the price of the home. Subscriptions cost the same every month whether or not you close. Agentora founding agents get the Growth plan free for life.
